Dear
Parents, Swimmers and Divers-
Another milestone! I wanted to send out
a note to you all with a quick message before the Holidays.
First of all,
the Boys team turned in a gritty performance yesterday securing the FIRST Division
win in our history! Congratulations to Kelly and the Boys for a tremendous victory.
It is important to know that we compete in a VERY strong Division and our win
yesterday marks a great step forward for Pennridge swimming and diving.
Secondly,
I want to remind everyone that we are not done yet! Yesterday marked our final
DIVISION dual meet of the season, but there remain (2) more Division Crossover
Dual Meets on January 10th and 17th before our Dual Meet season is complete. These
Crossover meets are our chance to show the rest of the League our skills, so make
sure you continue to prepare for more swimming.
Third of all, in an effort
to keep everybody active over the Holiday Break, we are securing practice time
for your kids! This is a GREAT opportunity for us, as we will have lots of pool
time, and the pool to ourselves! We were not able to do this last year, so I am
psyched to have the opportunity this year. These will not be evening practices,
so we will have between 1 1/2 to 3 hours each for 8-10, 12up and Diving, and the
WHOLE pool! Please stay tuned to the website for your swimmer/divers schedule,
but expect a schedule of afternoon practices to fall on Sat 12/27, Mon 12/29,
Tues 12/30, Fri 1/2 and Sat 1/3 (with a maybe on 12/26). These practices are intended
to include individual clinic type instruction as well as hard work for our dedicated
swimmers and divers.
In closing, I am continually impressed by our swimmers,
divers and parents enthusiasm and dedication. Our collective future is bright
and our potential is limitless. Just a "small" example of our potential,
congratulations to little Samantha Albano (Age 6), who came home with (2) First
Place medals and another 4th Place in the recent CB East Holiday Classic Invitational.
What a showing! Keep up the great work and have a great holiday season. We look
forward to seeing you at practice!
