Dear Pennridge Aquatic Club Parents and Athletes-

As summer comes to a close, I wanted to provide you all with some important updates for the Winter program. Following up on our most successful season yet, there is terrific news and opportunity on our horizon. First, let me alert you to some exciting new changes:

1) Pennridge Pool: We are now in a new era! The Upper Bucks YMCA decided not to renew the contracted relationship for pool management and the Pennridge School District responded by hiring an Aquatics Director! This is tremendous news for the pool and it's programs, and we look forward to the success of our new Aquatics Director, Ryan Griffiths! Ryan was a natural pick for this new position, with connections to Pennridge Swimming AND the Pennridge School District. Congratulations Ryan!

2) PAC Meet Schedule: We have Diving at Home! Yes, after (3) years of our divers competing "away" every week or on Friday nites based on our pinch on meet pool time, we can now hold diving in our own pool! Diving competitions will be held at the assigned home/away facility, with home diving taking place prior to the swim meet.

3) PAC Pool Space: No more lap lane! Our dedicated PAC pool time now accounts for all (6) lanes! This is 17% more space in our full PAC practices! There are times in our schedule where we will share the pool with Lessons programming (8 and unders) and Adult programs (diving), but our overall pool space gain is very encouraging.

4) PAC Practice Schedule: Great practice times and schedule. After a minor fire drill, we have finalized a schedule that serves ALL of our swimmers with reasonable practice times that start around 6:00 for the younger swimmers and end by 9:00 for the older swimmers. We have not yet finalized our age group practice schedule, however our pre-season gives us great opportunity to get in shape, and our regular season delivers consistent and necessary practice times for our competitive swimmers and divers.

We have great opportunity ahead with a growing competitive swimming and diving culture that is fueled by YOU and your family's passion for Pennridge Aquatics.
